I Killed Him I ll Do It Again Hyuk Goofy
Every bit soon as Choi Jin-Hyuk appeared in his black finery and eye liner in Gu Family Book , my brain was alloh-hey-sexy-goth-boy-but-wait-is-kdrama-whut-no-but-await-goth-goth-goth-boy-emo-hair-smoky-centre-much-angst-yeah-ok-just-all the same-is-kdrama-fer-realz.
So very Snape, no? Perfect lucifer. Beloved the behind the scenes goofy laughs. Alan Rickman'south velvety, throaty purr of a voice is 1 of life'south Best Things Ever. Even so not accepting that he isn't in the world with us anymore. All kinds of wrong.
I love the goth guy and his excellent eye make-upwards in the upper right pic and wanted to list an image credit, only I oasis't been able to discover the photo again, even with a Google assist. Very mysterious. Just so, so is lovely goth guy, then information technology's apropos.

Okay, this visual equivalent makes my mean solar day. Then obscure, I know, merely if y'all love kdramas ANDhyperbole and a half, it is so hilarious. Somehow Woo Practise-Hwan is just the ideal match to hyperbole and a half, at to the lowest degree to my neurodivergent af brain.
James Dean hiding out in his thick blackness sweater is such an iconic portrait. Always loved that look. Turns out our Hallyu guys like it too (or at least their stylists do). Hard non to sink down into the neck of a thick cozy sweater when it's chilly as a mofo.
Thanks to our crazy talented kdrama menfolk and the sudden onset of common cold conditions. Lots more than turtleneck and gorgeous glaze goodness to come…
The look on Yoo Ji-Tae's face up in this Mad Dog scene is exactly what I'd look similar if I was waiting for the barista to brand my latte and I looked over and saw Woo Exercise-Hwan standing right next to me. My internal monologue: Derp de derp derp coffee yum yum…..whaaa…WOO DO HWAAAAhhh...WHUT???
I would then stare at him simply similar the owl is doing, standing creepily still, with no agreement of what was kdrama dream magic or reality. This would be followed by an intense internal discussion where the itty bitty sane part of me says, NO! We are non reaching out to bear on his pretty face because not only is that rude, inappropriate, and detrimental to his elaborate skincare regimen, simply you lot know very well that mere mortals do NOT touch the gods! At present put your paw down this instant!!!
Woo Exercise-Hwan sees all of this out of the corner of his center, but shows nothing because he's a goddamn pro. He silently curses the pitfalls of celebrity, wonders how many restraining orders they've filed now, and wishes the next fan would just be some arctic oddball who wants to enquire about something unexpectedly interesting, like traditional Korean archery or something.*

* The stupid irony is that I would actually just want to ask him nigh the process of learning traditional archery, swordsmanship, and general fighting skills for My Country: The New Historic period. Who he trained with, how long information technology took, and how hard it was to do all that in the hanbok or full armor. I don't give a shit virtually autographs or photos. And then yeah, I'm a total nerd who can't even fangirl properly.
She was a damn good villain. Just hearing a mention of SKY Castle gives me the chills, so I hear that damn metronome ticking, and I get all twitchy.
Kim Seo-Hyung certainly was the chief of that whole unblinking decease glare in that role. I've been holding off on another couple shows with her in the cast, cuz I tin't unsee this badass villain. But I'm glad I finally found a feline counterpart who's a perfect match to her raging evil. Exercise not piss off either of them, or you will pay.
Such elegant bastards, with their superb style, streamlined forms, and chill-as-fuck vibes. True for Lee Min-Ho and Woo Practice-Hwan, and true for these greyhounds in their fancy sweater onesies. With their physique, elegant outfits, athleticism, and excruciatingly loftier levels of fancy pants-ness, one might argue that greyhounds are the kdrama idols of the dog earth.
I like to think the dejected little dog in the white jacket is Corea's prime minister slinking abroad when she finally realizes that the king and his honey babysitter have no interest in her whatsoever. This amuses me. (Information technology's good to be a simpleton.)
*For my fellow TKEM fans: Yeah, I know the LMH pic is actually from Legend of the Blue Ocean , not The King Eternal Monarch , but it matched upwardly then nicely, so I ran with it.
LMFAO this one cracks me up. Yes, I made this aforementioned-same, simply it stills surprises me every fourth dimension I see it (I'thou a simpleton). Wish I could call up what scene this was from in Mr Sunshine. Hmmm… Will have to expect into that.
vi Hallyu Icons + vi Black Turtlenecks + 12 Hallyu Icon Easily = More Photo Grid Win

Random thoughts: Whenever I come across idols in turtlenecks, I think of Lee Evie, my fave kdrama podcaster and writer of bright Joseon-era fiction. She absolutely hates dudes in turtlenecks. Similar srsly hates it. I'chiliad the opposite, probably because I love wearing loftier-neck sweaters when it'due south common cold. And so damn cozy. Simply they are forever linked to Lee Evie now, and yes, I always have to say her full name cuz information technology sounds neat.
Some other Valentino vs Kdrama aforementioned-same, homies, this fourth dimension with the super talented Choi Seung-Woo in his Sweeny Todd look. So damn fine, I gotta say. Both Rudolph Valentino and Choi take got the classic lines going on here. It works.
If you lot are a Choi fan, exist sure to bank check out his Sweeny Todd photos. Holy crap, he looked phenomenal. Such an platonic costume/style for him. It must take been an incredible show. Would love them to recreate it as a short series so nosotros can all meet it.
When your trounce walks in the room but you're trying to play it cool
